if this notion is passed succesfully, i will fear for the future and the well-being of people…. we only have a select few of useful tools left in the world that can be used to save it and it’s people, we have to act extremely fast before these notions and laws are made reality and our freedom is completely eradicated by some illusion of security and safety for our children and others, this is just another step to complete control of our minds, lives and the lives of those we care for deeply, it upsets me a great deal and angers me to the greatest extent that our own family members and friends maybe contributers to a great level of ignorance that may soon lead us to destruction….. if only they would just listen.

yeh, there are intelligent people in this country, and every other country. but, it’s the least informed ones, our friends, our family, people on the bus, that will make everyone of us pay. it might not necessarily interest them to research these things, so you and i need to put it infront of them. being ignorant is what the government wants, so they can get their way easily, right? so, the informed ones, who know that there are definitely hidden agendas behind, in particular, this ‘filtering of the internet,’ need to inform the less informed ASAP! before, the public makes a decision based on superficial knowledge.
i don’t want to be ignorant, and i hope the rest of the world doesn’t want to be either…

i myself have never stumbled across a site containing child pornography, thus i have no idea why myself and a select few are the only ones who remain unfoolled to this agenda of filtering the internet. WAKE UP PEOPLE!!!!!!

im with adam paine and david brown, it is obvious that child pornography is just a mask and an excuse to filter the important info we recieve and require, the government is not stupid, they’re just using any means neccesary to destroy public interest in the internet. it’s quite obvious that they’re trying to detur people away from this powerful tool we call the internet. so i remain objective to this notion and think this government should just give up! we all know the truth and thier attemts at covering it up are just plain pathetic.

I believe the australian government is trying to censor our internet usage in an attempt to gain complete CONTROL over information we have access to, after all, information is power and power is… control.
It saddens and angers me that they use their transparent, convenient pretexts to further their sinister agenda and rob us of our civil rights.

Dear Sir/Madam,
I am writing to you to express my concern with any attempt to censor the internet in any way. Please realize that my concern is due to my belief that we have the right to complete freedom of information, especially when it comes to internet content – we are mature intelligent citizens of this country and are quite able to make appropriate choices on our own without government intervention. Internet censorship is un-democratic regardless of what reason is put forward and the potential for misuse far outweighs any positive effect for this country’s citizens.

I have sent emails to both Senator Conroy and to the shadow minister Tony Smith for all the good it’ll do.
I believe that the Government,along with the Senator, have a hidden agenda.
The issue of internet censorship is undemocratic, immoral, unethical,and simply underhanded and they don’t seem to care that it infringes on our rights. Its another way of dumbing down society and keeping us passive, which is just another way of controlling us.

The Australian people and the people of any other country that faces Internet Censorship must band together and fight to stop it from happening.

Now that the flow of information on the net is starting to threaten the power of the oligarchy, they are interested, and, I would say, worried.

We must defend the internet at all costs. If anything, we should work towards an even freer internet, with offshore servers.
