				<description>&#60;p&#62;How does one start to change a life that is intricately woven up in a monetary system..?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Having lived the life of a nomad or travelling &#38;quot; hippy&#38;quot; for want of a better word, for many years in the past, employing as many anti system tactics and manouvres one can muster, what does one do when they have had their minds rebooted by Zietgiest, as they have found themselves currently absorbed back into a monetary system, working full time, albiet in a position that is very enjoyable and is also my hobby..?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Why do I feel like the gap between realisation of a better world without a fractional reserve banking system in place and the current one where the work I do is enjoyable and the rewards..$ are acceptable..?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;As much as I loath the man and money in general, what are the first steps to take to engage the &#38;quot; better&#38;quot; world we all know is right there in front of us..?

				<description>&#60;p&#62;I read this post the other day and thought it deserved its own thread so I&#38;#39;ve re-posted it.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I had quick search around on the internet and it is quite an amazing opportunity, if I get time I&#38;#39;ll try and find out what the lease conditions and terms are. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Thanks sparkie45, if you have a bit more knowledge or know the ins and outs of the lease terms would be great if you elaborate.&#60;/p&#62;

				<description>&#60;p&#62;Is anyone out there looking at starting a self sustaining comunity/village in Queensland?&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;there is alot of talk of buying land and working together to make sustainable comunitys in Cannada, Europe and North America.&#60;br /&#62;
so i was wondering if ppl were up for it here.&#60;br /&#62;
ive got ideas but no money, i keep trying to win the lotto, it never works... maby i should get around to buying a lotto tickit to improve the odds.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I work in Brisbane and i wouldnt want to give up my job, but i see no reasion why that should stop members from living in a comunity together, sharing rescources, buying food in bulk from markets.&#60;br /&#62;
Build green houses/hydroponic farms and grow our own fruit and veggies, BUT still work in the comunity to prevent us from isolating ourself from the rest of the country.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;There are ppl now who do simmiler things and the only thing that links them together is the street they live on.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;if severial of these comunity&#38;#39;s sprung up around the country you could move state and know you had a&#60;br /&#62;
Z-comunity to move to.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;If we did this right eventually (LONG TERM IDEA) we could be free from buying food, electricity, water, and eventually build fully automated manafacturing plants and beat the econnomy at its own game.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;there is alot of chatter and good ideas being thrown around on the global website, but the way i see it is, we have a starting point... so lets start.

				<title>wildwabbit on "Wind turbine project,"</title>
				<link>http://www.zeitgeistaustralia.org/forum/topic/wind-turbine-project#post-2054</link>

				<description>&#60;p&#62;Just began the first step in building my own wind turbine, by using the motor from a direct drive washing machine as an alternator.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Step 1. Remove the motor, shaft and bearings.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The motor comes out relatively easily needed two sockets and thats it. Shaft also came out easily, just the bearing needed a little persuation, has to be pryed out of the mount in the bowl.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;My current concern:&#60;br /&#62;
The motor seems to have a lot more resistance than i anticipated,&#60;br /&#62;
will need some big props/turbine to make the thing work, hopefully I can get rid of some resistance by mounting the motor and playing a little with the shaft and bearing set up, as they don&#38;#39;t seem optimal atm. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;On the plus side the high resistance suggests high output. Will have to buy a multimeter later in the week to test this.Will need to calculate torque wind speed and surface area  .&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Plan on using a vertical axis setup as this is the simplest method. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Will keep posting as things develop&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;Have included a couple of shots of the process thus far.&#60;/p&#62;

				<title>saimon on "Aust. Taxpayers Association - lobbying for debt-free currency"</title>

				<description>&#60;p&#62;The &#60;a href=&#34;http://www.taxpayer.com.au/&#34;&#62;Australian Taxpayers Association &#60;/a&#62; &#38;quot;is a not-for-profit educational institution that is not affiliated with any political party or any pressure group....We also represent the interests of taxpayers via membership on a number of tax committees and direct access to the Australian Taxation Office and the highest levels of government....Tax advisers, tax agents, financial planners, business people, investors, students and all sections of the public are members of Taxpayers Australia.  &#38;quot;&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I joined the ATA (costs about $350 p/y) and voiced two concerns:&#60;br /&#62;
1. The ATA should be advocating a debt-free currency because it&#38;#39;s the single most significant way to reduce our tax; i.e. stop paying interest.&#60;br /&#62;
2. The ATA is mainly a group of tax agents working through the complex tax system to find ways to reduce - mainly wealthly - taxpayers&#38;#39; tax.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;The newly appointed CEO. Barbara Cook - this was in 2008 - personally called me and was very supportive, and offered me a year&#38;#39;s free membership.&#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I found out that I could join their State (Queensland, as I&#38;#39;m in Brisbane) Divisional Council. If I did this, I could start the process of focusing attention on the main problem i.e. debt-based money. However, I don&#38;#39;t want to do this alone. &#60;/p&#62;
&#60;p&#62;I would like to band together with others to do this as a ZM Project.
