@Brothington1, yes I was also concerned about how a lawless society would deal with problems such as rape, domestic violence etc. These are social problems which are not directly causally linked to the monetary system... of course the society envisioned by TVP is based on equality, and women's oppression has been historically linked to manufactured economic disadvantage... but I think there may be more to it than that. I might go do some more reading on this topic.
As I see it, under RBE, the flow of information would improve greatly, and become more trustworthy (no more money driven news programs/articles or schemes).
Parents would have access to child rearing guidance, and would have the time to do what is needed to deal with their childrens problems. That guidance would improve (again, the flow of trustworthy info).
Research into all areas would improve greatly (no more need for grants, people who want to work on a topic will likely be able to, which means more man-power etc. Willing participants would be more abundant because of free time and ease of transport). Peoples problems would become better understood and the causes dealt with.
The overall societal 'demeanor' towards one another would lighten and improve, which would likely result in people being more open about their problems, and being actually understood, not judged (again the flow of info would help this. If it is recognised that something in society needs improving, it would likely be advertised effectively to the population, such as a need to be less judgmental).
There are many many more areas where things would improve. But i think the real point is, we wouldn't have a lawless society unless there were little or no crimes. If rape etc were still going on, it would mean we haven't matured enough into RBE yet to have no laws. But eventually I believe the reasons people commit such crimes would be weeded out. Sometimes a severe crime may still happen, but instead of using laws to deal with it, we would likely know what needed to be done (psychological help etc).
As for religion, I think it might be a mistake to suggest God is made up. Not just because religion is too ingrained into every society, but also because there is no proof he doesnt exist. There is no proof either way. How can something like that be proven/disproved? The same can be said for actual structured religions. It seems pretty obvious the motives behind most religions, but we cant say for sure that at least one of them isnt the actual will of god. The problem is, we cant say it is either. *brain explosion*
As for the OP, I saw a video last night that my brother put on. I didnt see the very beginning of it, so not sure what its called, but it was mainly about the financial farce that is going on in the world. It really opened my eyes to that side of our societies. I then checked out the site.
I've known now for a number of years that things need to change for us humans. My own experience with emotions (or lack thereof :P) and the self analysis ive done because of that, has given me a lot of understanding for people and why we do the things we do. I can see how we can change in a very profound way if we just knew how to interact with each other in the right ways. With improved information infrastructure, this could happen. So its heartening to see the possibility of creating the kind of environment where this could come to be
In my home town in the Blue Mountains, NSW someone (I think in was Socialist Alliance, Sydney - at least they were there) had a public screening of the first film not long afer it was made. They showed it in a musty nightclub all the young hipsters used to hang out at on the weekends so I went along to see what the fuss was about. That club has since shut down (wasn't making any money, ironically) but the movement and successive films and the ideas behind it all and the fact that all of you out there know what it feels like to think differently, to spend many years growing up thinking there was something wrong with the way you were built and to have someone come along and show you the problem is not with how you operate but in the world around you and there are others who see the same way - my friends, that is something special. Apologies if that's a bit poetic for you all.

Zeitgeist the Movie does not disprove God.
Thou there is 'evidence' that personified God(s) do not exist.

That's wonderfully poetic, thank you
My own experience was quite "random", if you believe in such a thing. I think I dound it when i was supposed to.
It was simply on VCDquality.com as a newly released movie. I read the blurb and it sounded like it was something I would be really interested in. I watched it late at night, and was entirely engrossed, like a fireball had exploded in my brain.
And the very next day, people started to act differently around me, because I now felt compelled to be myself, something I'd been so used to suppressing in the name of fitting in and not rocking the boat.
But life was immeasureably more fulfilling and rewarding, though more conflict arises for someone who decides to live on the roof of the prison that has been constructed for us, but I was able to take that in my stride.
I realised I had been preparing for this my whole life, how to blend into the system whilst speaking my mind and sharing my ideas, how to resolve conflict and defuse situations rather that fight fire with fire or eye-for-eye tactics.
I won't lie, I found it very difficult, like Fresco has said "If the environment doesn't change, you'll find a person will slip back from the change they have made", and I did. I did get despondent and depressed. But I knew what I learned wasn't wrong, so I kept reading and educating myself and always trying to find ways to heal the damage and indoctrination I had been fed.
And it's worked, I feel like a whole person at last, and life is looking good
Someone i work with told me about the film. I've looked on the website a few times too and it sounds very interesting. I'm new here btw!
Welcome!
A little over a year ago a friend gave me the first Zeitgeist. I was so intreaged that I went to find everything that I could about the VP/ZM. After researching and and double checking everything that was said I bacame a member a little over a month ago. I was a solider in the US Army. I joined out of a sense of patriotism and it took over 11 years of service to realize that I have been misslead. So I don't get into anything intill I know everything and I believe in it. Take care.
Found about this Zeitgeist movement in a local Indian News paper. after that, its interesting two days of research on the net and read a lot about this movement..kinda of interested and would like to put my input as well in future...
My Dad gave me the first Zeitgeist DVD, my dad had given me alot of dvd's, freemason's, kings' and the space race, hippy stuff (fluffy bunny, you can change the world by positive thinking), conspericy theory's(with little to no proof, so i didnt watch it.. sick of the changeing story's lack of proof and dribble.
finally one day were having a convisation about jesus and the church,i pointed out the simerlaritys fo jusus and budda.
I was raised a Catholic, went to a catholic school, was even thinking of becoming a Preist(NO JOKE).
around 8 years old things stopped making sence, if the church is doing god's work then why arnt they doing anything usefull. why is the bible so wrong.
i guess i still wanted to belive in something, or didnt realise i didnt hafta belive in some kind of sky fairy. i studyed lots of religions, what realy held my attention was NORSE mythology.
but studying so many religions gave me more questions,( why do most of the religions basicly have the same message?)
i had grown a theory as to why they all seamed the same, in retrospect i wasnt to far off.
so i tell my family over the dinner table my theory about jesus and budda. and my dad say's
"You havent watched that dvd i gave you yet!" with a smug look on his face.
still didnt watch it.
2 weeks later i was recovering from Hip surgery, and bored so i put the zeitgeist dvd on...
Jaw Dropped. there is NOTHING better than having YOUR world destroyed.
first time my world was destroyed: finding tapes of hard core german porn
Second: detention in primary school(it seamed so scary before, i had lots of detentions after that)
Third: Getting beat up (feels good to get beaten to a pulp and survive)
Forth: finding out there is no proof that JEWS were ever in egypt (thats what happens when they teach you religion and history in the same room, you end up thiking there the same thing)
Fith: watching the Zeitgeist.
Sixthed: Zeitgeist Addendum.
I Will never have "MY world" again, never belive a structure can not be wrong, nor will i belive in something with out some proof.
I will leave my life story there on this one thought.
"the only constant in life is change".... Budda
