on 23 of October Sydney meetup the following question was discussed, founded by attendees. I encourage forum members to continue it.

How would a established TVP city would wash with current established laws/within the current system ?

ie: building regulations, traffic laws, subsidies regulations ect.

ownership laws could be a little weaker? hmmm

See the question should be... how do we actually go about building a city that isn't subject to the laws of the country it resides in?

  4. craftymethod

by making it its only country I heard this was done in far north western Australia somewhere? It would be quite difficult i'm sure... A good working example would be ideal to create at least exemptions of law and perhaps even changes to it.

Perhaps rather than being seperate from the laws of the country we need to think in terms of demonstrating a shining example, a city that abides by laws - not because of laws but by principles of living that surpass the laws of the land.

Community title land may be an effective strategy for establishing a village, then perhaps seeking seperating from the local area council.
