I've put together this [awesome] Jacque Fresco Compilation torrent that includes various materials that feature Jacque Fresco and The Venus Project of his. You'll also find some The Zeitgeist Movement related films and fan made stuff in there.
Before you jump on it and think that telling everyone about it is a good idea I need to ask you to stop right here and read the following very carefully.
This torrent will be made inactive in a month. It is made available so that people interested in creating web-seeds for future (another) torrent could get the torrent data. It is only a temporary torrent and its purpose is to facilitate creation of another, better torrent that will be seeded and made available for everyone to download in a month.
The end goal is to create a torrent with multiple, geographically distributed web-seeds.
THEREFORE I ASK YOU POLITELY TO RESTRAIN YOURSELF AND DO NOT DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT JUST YET UNLESS YOU'RE DOING THIS TO HELP SETUP WEB-SEEDS. ONCE ANOTHER TORRENT WITH WEB-SEEDS IS MADE AVAILABLE YOU'RE MOST WELCOME TO DOWNLOAD IT AND SEED INDEFINITELY.
THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT THAT WE DO NOT CREATE SEVERAL SWARMS (having several swarms/torrents leads to poorer torrent download/upload speeds eventually) IN THE PROCESS. THIS HAPPENS WHEN SOMEONE DECIDES TO DOWNLOAD THIS TORRENT AND MAKE IT AVAILABLE ELSEWHERE. PLEASE DO NOT DO THIS UNTIL ANOTHER TORRENT WITH WEB-SEEDS IS UPLOADED IN approx. APRIL OF 2011.
HOW TO HELP
Now, I need you to actually help me create this another, better torrent and here's how you can do that.
In essence, you'll have to:
• download the torrent that takes up approximately 55Gb (a little less actually)
• make this torrent data available via standard HTTP protocol
• send the direct link to the torrent data to me (PM or e-mail via forum)
• provide your contact information so that I could contact you should the provided link fail to work as expected or anything important unexpectedly comes up
Once I receive a driect HTTP link to the torrent data, I'll test it and if it works I'll include it in web-seeds list in the new torrent.
In a month, hopefully having collected all the URLs to web-seeds, I'll make this torrent inactive (you won't be able to download it anymore) and make the new one available for everyone to freely download.
That simple.
One thing to keep in mind, we have only a window of one month (1Mo) time to do this. If no one considers this worthwhile I'll have to make the torrent available without web-seeds and let's just hope its swarm never dies.
GUIDELINES FOR SETTING UP A WEB-SEED
This task requires some level of technical expertise, of course. Here are some guidelines as to what parameters are desirable for a setup in question:
• web-seed URL availability (24/7)
• unlimited traffic
• fast Internet connection
• robust, standards compliant HTTP server (Apache or similar) that supports resume
If all you have is just some of this, please, consider creating a web-seed and sending me the URL to it anyway.
WHAT A WEB-SEED SHOULD LOOK LIKE OVER HTTP
A valid web-seed URL is one that when is clicked displays the following files and folders and makes it possible to download these files and folders recursively:

That's what like a valid web-seed looks like (see URL above).
Bottom line is that if we manage to setup at least some web-seeds for this torrent chances that it dies, i.e. becomes unavailable, become null.
I believe Jacque Fresco is a fountain of great ideas that must be made available to everyone. Such a torrent would make it very easy for people to discover most of his ideas and accessem them EASILY. It took me MONTHS of hard work to find all the data and put this torrent together. I wish one was available when I was trying to find anything related to Jacque Fresco.
