    Joining Forces Project is on.

It is a Project based on ACTION (not the usual blah, blah, blah…I will do blah, blah, blah).

It is a Project open to all Zeitgeist Veteran Members but also for Newbies.

    What is this project about?
Joining Forces Project” has a very specific goal, that is: to reach Relief and Humanitarian Organizations (or Institutions), Volunteer Centers, Green Movements, Charitable Organizations, etc, and let them know about the Zeitgeist Movement and hence the Venus Project. Once the approach is made, we will try to join forces with these organizations and start working in mutual cooperation to achieve our common goals…
All material is available on the following link.

REMEMBER: "IT IS WHAT YOU DO THAT MAKES THE DIFFERENCE"...and NOT what "you say you will do".

    TAKE ACTION TODAY!

Had a guy come to my door last night, he was from the Wilderness Society I think. Gave him a donation and mentioned Venus Project, he had heard of it but wasn't aware there was a zeitgeist group in Melbourne that was meeting. He was very receptive and sounded genuine that he would come along to the next meeting and visit the website.

These groups are great to target, there belief structure is very compatible and they have excellent skills and experience in an array of areas.

Good work, Dark Prodigy, that 's the way to go! Myself and a couple of ZM buddies here have invited several people from the local Eco-village to show them Addendum and TVP in July. we are hopeful that they will be receptive to our ideas, and will let you all know how the grass roots networking experiment approach worked out.
I also thought of approaching local Centrelink 'customers' but would prefer to give them information that has been re-worked for the Australian context. The Localization of ZM info is a priority for me right now and I am keen to be involved.

    Hi to all
I have just been looking around the forums to see all the most recent posts and not a lot of activity has been of late. Some winter hibernation. Conversation is Education so I thought I might try and spark up some dialogue around the forums by dropping in and saying hi!
TZM membership has reached over the 400,000 mark, so it could be said we have over 400,000 sources of information from many & varied professions and life experiences,
We need to talk often about it, because there is a lot to be said and learnt.

What I am suggesting is a "LIFE RESOURCE DATA BASE" for the ease of sharing of information that has/is to do with the challenges we all face day to day and beyond as we prepare for the transition.

Let me suggest by draughting my own entry to such a database.

    dowell.
Self-suffient communities. Aviation. Art & photography.
Each being a sub heading to more detail.

From this heading all interested members could share valuable details to those looking for answers.

It’s about connecting and networking with each other,

SO! Are there any members out there that could and would like to create such a database?????

    Be well Do well

The paradigm shift requires us to radically contract into a conserver society, get over our ‘Affluenza' quick smart, and embrace frugality as a moral obligation. If we don't get tough on ourselves, the world will get even tougher on us as the consequences of inaction or insufficient action take their toll.

I suggested the skills data base before but had little support on it, If you look though my post's you might find the information on it.

I do believe though the local act of doing we can gain faster momentum but it always best to remember that our action's don't just reflect us.

    -Peace

yeah, a few of us tried this already, phem, dowell and a couple of others but I really think the idea should be intergrated into the site. Maybe had the topic been sticky it may have got a bit more attention.

A stickyfied Resource Data Base would be a good start and would give some sort of measure to the resources available to other members. The Aus members number is quoted as being over 10,000, traffic on this forum seems to fall short of that number?.

It may well be worth organising to have all Aus members notified of the proposed RDB, and if they would like to be included on the Data base. I think there is a lot of disconection with the Aus chapter, and this may be a way of getting more members envolved and discussing issues of action. I know its Talk Blah Blah, but fact is we need to unify our actions.

As with all communities there are a core group that work together on plans and call on others to help move the plans ahead.

Working with what we have?. Group get togethers are hard to organise thats agreed, so the internet is at this point possibly our best means of unification. My only contact with the ZM here, is through this forum, because of my location to existing meeting points and no local chapter for Northern Rivers group, as yet only 3 have voiced a need.

So my support for this data base as means to help Aus ZM connect and unify is a given.

I think the Internet is the best way to start off with connecting members together and get organised.

Is the goal here to create a RBE or spread the word about it ?

I am just a little confused.

Kuyamarki.....We are wishing to create a skills data-base for ZM Australia, basicaly those intrested would list Location, Skills, Resourses personal interests etc....so that we have a better of idea of who might be able to help one another. Or if you have questions or similar interests about certain things it might be easier to contact the persons who have listed these things in the data-base. I think you have mistaken the resource data base for RBE
