I don't personally see the Zeitgeist film as 'anti-christian', more like it takes a direct objective view of religion in its totality today, and obviously Christianity, is one of the current reigning religions and it is by far, to date, the one religion that has been tweaked, manipulated and molded to fit particular political and so called 'superior' moral agendas. I do not believe in a divine persona, although, upon my mortal death, perhaps I will see that I am wrong. To me, any God or Deity is merely a personification of something greater in which we, as mortal beings, find hard to conceive and to see. I view it as a universal energy as such, one in which our souls themselves are forged from, and one of which we return to after our physical bodies are rendered useless. Our physical existence perhaps is just merely an organic biological process, we are born, we live, we die. But as humans, with the ability to critically think, to imagine and to ask, we elevate ourselves above all other living matter and claim that some divine force, or some 'God' forged us in our full design him/herself. Is this not a dose of arrogance in which we as humans are all born with?
And IF there is a God, or an all-seeing, all-knowing divine force, why would this entity have human characteristics, why would this entity, quite simply even have a sex? What makes religion in my view, a walk of hypocrisy, is that each in their own right, claim their God to be the one and true God, and that their God rewards and punishes in the same light, and yet that their God is holy, is just and furthermore, real..
While I don't follow or submit to a religious ideology, I entertain the idea that ALL religions that have ever been and ever will be here on Earth are in fact, real in some parallel of the universe. The power of faith is incredibly strong, and with the unified belief over millions and billions of souls, could this not, in effect, create parallels in our universe where each divine belief system is true? Maybe those who die a Christian really do go to Heaven, maybe those who die as a Buddhist perhaps are reincarnated, and maybe those who die a Muslim end up in their idea of Heaven. With this collective belief, and with the creative ability we have as beings, maybe we ourselves have forged the existence of each religious realm somewhere out there...perhaps, the universe, connected by this force or energy has no projection of its own, merely it is a painting for each viewer to interpret in their own right, and to use this force to create their own divinity..
As for activism within the Zeitgeist movement, you have already begun that process Lasher, by simply being here, by watching the film and by sharing it within your own circles. Also do not forget that other organizations, such as the WWF and Greenpeace in which you mention have a strong public appearance are internationally established groups that have had much media exposure, and also fight for a cause that is less interpreted and manipulated to meet someones moral or political ideals. The Zeitgeist Movement is one that can be viewed as dangerous by many, for it does go against the grain of the collective beliefs, and we have all been conditioned in each our own ways to frown upon those who appear to go against the grain as such.
Fear for the future of your children, fear for the longevity of this planet yes, but make no mistake, do not allow this fear to overcome your senses in such a way that you emit negative energy. use it to awaken yourself, use it to ascend and use it to be wise, to be cautious and to be true to what you believe is true.
