Ah. I thought the meetup was being organised via this forum, as you never stated otherwise. It hadn't occurred to me to check events on the new forum (why didn't you say! :P). I'll get on that now.
I think it's important we register the UQ Zeitgeist movement as a club with the UQ union, and ASAP. All clubs are listed on the UQ union website (see http://www.uqu.uq.edu.au/index.php?m=clubs ) and in publications so this will greatly help awareness.

We're setting up an external site for UQZ for the same reason that ZGA set up a site external to the global website.

It's a bit late for this event, but if you book a room on our behalf, the rate is 50% off... something to keep in mind for future events. The Venus Project Tour is coming to Brisbane! Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows are coming to Australia this April to give lectures in Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne and Perth. This is a fantastic opportunity to meet and listen to the dynamic Jacque Fresco and Roxanne Meadows speaking about his life-long work on the Venus Project with a Q & A session afterwards.
The Brisbane lecture will be on Wednesday 21st of April
