rrrright....
There were several mistakes in the first part of Zeitgeist, having checked the sources myself when i was first curious about the movement, so this guy has a couple of good points, especially about who Peter chose as the references to begin with. The first section of the first movie was pretty much nerd rage, and i shared it too to begin with.. but in the end christians and their antics do not effect me, so i simply ignore them.
Peter has said it himself, its the second film that is of utmost importance in today's society, because its relevant to our way of life, not our beliefs. We don't need to go prancing about trying to disprove any religion (despite how broken they are): In the end, they will destroy themselves, and this is already becoming evident in the last generation.
This guy makes a good point. Now, lets move on with the important stuff.
Klaxon would you mind telling me what mistakes you found? I gathered there are some. We're not perfect. But would just like to know what you found. Thanks. lee_at_easts@hotmail.com
lol @ publicchristianity.org
If you have a look at some of the similarities that Peter pointed out with the sun gods, it would seem that there are just a couple of small discrepancies. At least this is what I've come to understand. If anyone has concrete historical information that makes the first Zeitgeist movie pretty much unbeatable, I'd love to hear it.. and I'd sleep better at night knowing that the lies of Christianity are slowly being exposed.
Lol i also noticed that publicchristianity.org thing.. made me giggle inside at their ignorance and sad attempts to hold onto something like god and jesus. I mean.. they must have real problems if they need some deity to give them comfort. Don't you all think so?
There are some good morals taught by some parts of religion. However, this it is just a medium and a fairly expensive one at that.
Did you listen to the Peter Joseph radio show where he had Acharya S on ?
They explain the sources of the information.
Really good episode:
