March 3rd, 2010 at 10:42
Yeh, what the! is adelaide already aware enough as i am on these subjects, possible, however i still think it could have benefitted with a lecture, needless to say could have filled the required profitable number of seats i would have thought??
Gaz of Adelaide

I guess we will have to fly to Melbourne. Don’t let it stop you guys.
March 3rd, 2010 at 19:44
It’s probably because Melbourne, Sydney and Perth are more profitable.
That’s actually quite ironic.
March 3rd, 2010 at 19:47
Wait, does having multiple dates mean multiple shows, or that they;re not sure?
March 3rd, 2010 at 20:49
TVP gave us permission to set up 3 events in Australia initially, thus so we organized a survey and choose our 3 cities based on the outcome of that survey. Since people living in Brisbane bumped up the Brisbane pool quite high, and we managed to negotiate with TVP – TVP tour team started to organize lectures in thoes 4 cities.
Michael K. will try to organize a group transport to Melbourne for the lecture. Please stay in contact with him, or help him out if you think you can.

dates are pracitacly sorted now, i am waiting thou for all booking payments to go though – so the venues will be booked on 110%.
The tickets show the date time and place of the lecture, but as i said, until we wont get the payment for venues processed by the venue administration. We just want to be 110% sure about that.

is there only one show in sydney on the 23rd april. Im desperate to buy tickets but 23rd is my bday and cannot attend lecture. Will there be 21st or 22nd available also?

Nothing for Canberra either? (yeah I know, wishful thinking) Still, I would really have liked to see this and I can imagine the ANU would be more than happy to let you borrow a lecture theatre.
March 4th, 2010 at 07:19
Well I am happy to donate my 35 Acre farm near Stawell (2.5 hours drive from Melbourne so Adelaide/Melbourne crew can travel, camp on site. This will reduce cost of venue. Organise music, make it an annual festival.

Arseface, the ticket prices are actually surprisingly good considering the costs of venue hire + audio visual hire. I work in the audio visual industry – and these events aren’t cheap. I imagine cover charge will barely cover the cost of expenses let alone leave a profit of any kind.
So therefore they might operate at a loss if they host lectures in the other cities since chances are the turn out may not match those of the east coast.
Can’t wait for this though ~

No, I completely understand that it’s reasonable to do it that way. I was just pointing out the irony that a project which proposes an end to the monetary system is having to work based on money.
March 4th, 2010 at 14:28
Well unfortunately that’s the only system that exists right now

For those in Adelaide.
I did fight for it to be in Adelaide, however Jacque and Roxanne are going to many countries around the world and in some of those they are only doing a single lecture.
I created the cities survey as the main TVP organiser hadn’t done much in the way of formal analysis (not that a single online survey is definitive).
Whilst I was fighting for them to come to Adelaide we had been given the ultimatum that TVP could only attend 3 lectures. Seeing the vast interest from Brisbane I helped push for TVP to go to attend four cities so they could go to Brisbane.
I’m sure Adelaide will end up being special to TVP in the future but for the moment we will have to travel interstate to see Jacque and Roxanne.
If anyone wants to carpool (or with enough people we could hire a bus), then please email guy {at} zeitgeistsa(.)com with your details so we can co-ordinate everyone.
Thanks!

Shame there wasn’t one organised for Newcastle as I know a ton of people that would of been really interested in coming along and checking this out in the Hunter and Central Coast area’s. Just means I will have to do the 3hour trip down to Sydney for this one…..

What survey i did not recive any survey …..well gents i’m disapointed…Adelaide was missed….
so count us out……..we will not be coming…….
Greets….

Thats great that brisbane has one, anyone you talk to up here has heard of zeitgeist in some way, shape or form. There are allot of interested people and i hope what comes of this is more than just awarness of tvp, but action to make it feasible.
March 5th, 2010 at 17:14
Hey, it’s not like Adelaide was able to be included but wasn’t because they hate you. It was said at the beginning that they could only do three cities, and it was pretty obvious that Melbourne and Sydney would be the main two, and that it would be lucky dip between the remaining capitals. It’s just bad luck

Will there be a live broadcast or recorded one that will be posted online for those of us who are trapped at work and live way way up north?
